Terapeak alternative

The Terapeak alternative for eBay sellers.

If you are searching for a Terapeak alternative, you probably remember a tool that told you how many of something sold, for how much in total, who was selling it, and which title words moved it. SoldPeak is an independent tool that does those things, on real completed eBay listings, with a free plan to start.

The history

What happened to Terapeak

Terapeak ran for thirteen years as the research tool eBay sellers paid for, was bought by eBay at the end of 2017, and was folded into Seller Hub over the following years. Each move dropped something. By mid-2024 the name was gone and so were the two figures most of its users opened it for.

  1. 012004–2017Terapeak is the independent eBay research tool: 365 days of sold data, seller research, category trends, Hot Research, Title Builder, saved searches with email, bulk research, CSV export, an API. $29.95 a month, or about $20 billed yearly.
  2. 02Dec 2017eBay buys Terapeak.
  3. 032019–2021Terapeak moves into Seller Hub, first for Store subscribers, then (April 2021) free for every seller. Hot Research, Title Builder, seller names and export do not make the move.
  4. 04May 2024The Terapeak name is retired; the tool becomes "Product Research".
  5. 05June 2024Total Sold and Total Sales are removed from the research summary. Only daily charts remain.
  6. 062025–2026eBay's Finding API is switched off, third-party tools built on it close, listing pages lose their sales-history links, and sold-listings search is put behind a sign-in. Sellers report daily limits and outages.

The checklist

What a Terapeak alternative has to do

Eight jobs Terapeak did that eBay's Product Research no longer does, or never did, and how SoldPeak handles each.

Total sold and total sales
The two figures sellers used most: how many of a thing sold in the window, and what that came to in dollars. eBay removed both in June 2024. SoldPeak shows them on every search, counted over every recorded sale in the window, not a sample.
History past 90 days
Terapeak reached back a year, three on the top plan. eBay's sold search shows about 90 days. SoldPeak's Professional plan reaches back to the start of its data, July 2026, and keeps every day it adds from here on.
Sellers by name
Terapeak named the sellers behind a product. Product Research anonymizes them. SoldPeak lists the top sellers for any search by username, with share, volume, average price, revenue and feedback.
Title builder
Terapeak's Title Builder ranked the words in sold titles. SoldPeak does the same, with each word's price lift against the average and an 80-character composer.
Best time to list
Sales by day of week and hour of day, in the marketplace's own time zone, so auctions end and listings go up when buyers are buying.
Bulk research
Paste up to 25 products and compare them in one table: price, volume, total sales and sales per day.
Export and an API
CSV and JSON export on paid plans, and an API that returns the sold listings for any search on Professional.
No eBay seller account
Product Research lives inside Seller Hub, so you need a seller account with a sale to open it. SoldPeak needs an email address.

Honest limits

What it does not do yet

Sell-through rate needs the number of listings that failed to sell, and SoldPeak records sales, not failures, so it is not shown rather than guessed. Coverage is eBay.com and eBay.co.uk. Saved searches do not email you yet when a figure moves, which Terapeak's Value Track did. There is no linked-account sales dashboard, Terapeak's MySales; eBay's own Seller Hub covers that.

The alternatives

Other Terapeak alternatives, and what they are good for

eBay Product Research. Free inside Seller Hub if you have a seller account with a sale. The daily chart of sold items and average price is there, with filters for condition and format, and a sell-through figure over 90 days. It no longer shows total sold or total sales, names no sellers, and has no export or API.

eBay's own sold filter. Any search with "Sold items" ticked, about 90 days back, now behind a sign-in. Fine for a quick look at one product. It is the raw list with no totals, no averages and no trend, and our guide on how to see sold items on eBay covers every way in.

ZIK Analytics. A dropshipping-oriented research suite at $39.90 a month for Pro and $59.90 for Pro+, as of October 2026, with product and competitor research among many other tools. More than most sellers need if the question is what something sells for.

SoldPeak. The research part of Terapeak and nothing else: one search, the whole report, exact totals, sellers by name, and the sold listings themselves, from $0. How a report answers the five product-research questions.

Pricing

Flat-rate, from $0

Personal covers the last 90 days, Free the last 30, and Professional every sale since July 2026. Every plan covers eBay.com and eBay.co.uk. Personal at $19 a month, with export and listing details. Professional at $49 a month, with competitor research, bulk research and the API. Billed monthly, cancel any time.

Questions

Questions about switching

Not under that name. eBay renamed it "Product Research" inside Seller Hub in May 2024 and removed the Total Sold and Total Sales figures the next month. What remains is a chart-first tool with anonymized sellers, no title builder, no export and no API.

No. SoldPeak is an independent tool. eBay and Terapeak are trademarks of eBay Inc., used here only to describe what the tools do.

No. Product Research requires a seller account with a sale. SoldPeak needs an email address, and the Free plan needs no card.

Professional reaches back to July 2026, the start of SoldPeak's data, and keeps everything from here on. Personal looks back 90 days and Free 30. The totals and trends count every recorded sale in that window.

Yes, on Professional. Every search lists the top sellers by username with their share of sales, volume, average price, revenue and feedback score. Terapeak did this; Product Research hides the names.

Yes. Personal and Professional export CSV and JSON, and Professional includes an API that returns the sold listings for any search.

Terapeak Professional was $29.95 a month in its last independent years, about $40 in today's money. SoldPeak is free for 5 searches a day, $19 a month for Personal and $49 for Professional, billed monthly with no contract.
